About Me

 I have lived in the Okanagan for close to 20 years. I am married and we have 4 adult children and 1 granddaughter.  I have been a registered nurse for 32 years and consider myself a lifelong learner. I started my career at BC Children’s Hospital and then spent two wonderful years in the Cariboo, working in Home Care Nursing. After moving to Penticton 20 years ago, I worked as a case manager for seniors and a hospital discharge planner. I have extensive knowledge and experience with community and hospital health care and am well versed with many of the supports and housing options available for seniors. Through strong working relationships with other health care providers, I passionately advocate for seniors in our community and help ensure their rights and wishes are upheld. I believe in a client/family centered approach that puts the client first in health care decisions. Every senior has unique care needs and my role is to listen and attempt to provide services to meet those needs. 

I enjoy raising our Labradoodle (Charlotte), growing flowers, hiking, traveling, photography, deep friendships and spending time with my family. My Christian faith is the anchor to the way I attempt to live out my life and how I interact with those around me, both personally and professionally. I have a genuine concern for seniors as they are often overlooked and in need of additional support and advocacy. I feel that my calling in life is to advocate for those who need a voice and nursing has provided a great avenue in which to live out this calling.
